Fire departments from Viborg, Irene and Hurley responded to a house fire in rural Yankton County, 10 miles west of Viborg on April 17th just after 9 a.m.

The Denison Volunteer Fire Department was called out to hay bales burning in high winds on April 26. There were about 26 bales on a flat bed semi trailer.
